Hello everyone!
My name is Monica Bowtell, and I’m thrilled to be joining the Grade 1 team this year. I grew up in Wainwright and have many fond memories of attending WES from Pre-K to Grade 6. It's exciting to return to the community that shaped me into who I am today. After earning my Bachelor of Education while playing college hockey at Red Deer Polytechnic, I’m now in my first year of teaching and eager to inspire students to reach their full potential.
Outside the classroom, I’m passionate about sports and the outdoors. I coach hockey in my spare time, sharing my love for the game with young athletes. I also enjoy riding horses and spending time exploring nature. I'm committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically and in life.
