WES also has a privately run and funded pre-kindergarten program housed right here at Wainwright Elementary School - Here is a few words from Wainwright Pre-School:
The Wainwright Pre-Kindergarten program offers the opportunity for young children to learn new things through playing, daily routines, and gross and fine motor skill development. Each month has a theme that the lessons and crafts are geared towards. They will have activity centres, crafts, story time, snacks, and songs. Each class gets to go on 2-3 field trips a year and even performs a Christmas concert in December!
This program aids in preparing your child for kindergarten and is highly recommended. Small classroom sizes are important to us and promote more 1-on-1 learning experiences.
- Children must be 4 years of age before December 31st of the enrollment year.
- Choice of Mon/Wed a.m or p.m OR Tues/Thurs a.m or p.m
- Morning classes run from 9:00-11:30a.m.
- Afternoon classes run from 12:30 p.m-3:00 p.m.
- There is a $30 registration fee.
- Other fees are determined on a yearly basis, and may be affected by government funding.
