e-Tutoring Hub Launched
e-Tutoring Hub Launched
To support the continuity of student learning during the pandemic, the Government of Alberta is planning to launch a new e-Tutoring Hub for students in Gr. 4 to 9 and their parents. The hub will offer free pre-recorded video tutoring sessions to build students' literacy and numeracy skills. Later this year, the education ministry will expand the online tutoring service to cover more grades and subjects, including live tutoring. Feedback from school authorities, parents, and students will inform topics and needs for new tutoring sessions.
Alberta Education has released the first 6 tutorials on the e-Tutoring hub at: www.new.learnalberta.ca
There are 4 in English and 2 in French, targeting grades 4-6. There will be more added.
The initial scope of the Alberta Education project is to provide pre-recorded sessions, in English and in French, for grade 4-9 literacy and in numeracy. Once we receive more information about additional subjects and grade levels being added, we will share the information with you. We do, however, encourage you to check the site frequently so that you are aware of the new content being added.
