Shift to At-Home Learning - 6RS, 5C, 3G & 3S

We appreciate that families are working with us and keeping students home when ill. We have been closely monitoring absences and illnesses within our school. This week has seen a high number of students and staff away and we want to ensure we are being diligent by keeping all students safe. Unfortunately therefore, we are moving a number of classes online. Students in Gr 6RS, Gr 5C and both grade 3 classes will temporarily move to at-home learning beginning Tuesday, January 25, with a return to in-school learning on Wednesday, February 2nd. The shift to at home learning is to limit the spread of COVID-19. We need to ensure that we do everything we can to minimize the risk of COVID spread. If you are aware of a positive case in your household, please continue to contact the school. This continues to be an important step to mitigate risk and return to a safe and healthy environment. It is extremely important that students and staff stay home when they are sick or have symptoms on the AHS checklist: https://open.alberta.ca/.../covid-19-information-alberta...

Thank you,

Mr. Tom Koskie

WES Principal
