Vermilion Run 2022
The Running Club had an amazing day at the Vermilion Race. Rain didn't slow us down... it made us FASTER! 37 racers competed from WES and everyone did amazing. Many improved their times. They all finished with red cheeks and smiles. For grade 4 Taya Reed finished second, Braelynn Rae finished third and Kiera Charlton finished fifth!For grade 5 Ethan Hinton finished second.For grade 6 Ainsley Carey finished third and Emily Russell finished 6th with Morgan Sardoff just behind her. Mrs. Stang, Mrs. Chaulk and all of WES are so proud of all our runners.
A big thank you to Norris Ford for graciously donating all of the Powerade bottles for all of the runners at our annual race at Riverdale. We had 275 runners in total who participated.
As well thank you to our parent volunteers who assisted with course marshalling : Natalie Rae, Rob Haines and Melissa Russell.
Finally a huge WES salute to our running club supervisors Mrs. Chaulk and Mrs. Stang.
