BTPS Learning Guide

Dear Buffalo Trail Public School Families:

I am excited to share with you the creation of the BTPS Learning Guide which is an amazing resource that shares with you the learning work of our staff and it promotes an understanding of how we are achieving our learning goals across BTPS.

As we approach the end of January, where our staff have a school based learning day, it is important to share what our schools and staff focus on during these days. In the current school year, we host two division wide staff learning days and five school based professional learning days. To support an understanding of our division wide and school based professional learning opportunities, we have published a BTPS Learning Guide. The intent of the BTPS Learning Guide is to inform staff and stakeholders of the support to improve and strengthen student learning and professional practice within our schools. With a focus on optimum learning, the Learning Guide provides an opportunity to share how we maximize student learning, in a safe and caring environment, supported by a highly effective team. It shares the connection among our schools and promotes an understanding of how we promote student learning.

The BTPS Learning Guide is found on our website under About > BTPS Learning Guide. https://www.btps.ca/about/btps-learning-guide

I hope 2023 has started off well for you all. Family Literacy Day is coming up on January 27, 2023. This day reminds us to embrace the joy of reading. Our schools continue to be busy places with many opportunities for our students.

Sincerely,

Rhae-Ann Holoien

Superintendent of Schools
